The rumours were correct, though not entirely accurate. The first big storm of the season has arrived a day early.

It is unfortunate that it had to occur during the Night of the Dead but such things are as the Dragons will them to be.

Siera, I am afraid that I am needed at work today. There are still too many things to be done for the Night of the Dead. There will likely be many late nights until the holiday arrives.

Now that September is almost over, it is time to prepare for the hurricane season. Siera, I have managed to get some materials that the temple does not need which we can use on the house. Hopefully any damage will be minimal, especially to the new roof.

Every where T turned, he heard talk of pirates. They were getting bolder by the day, it seemed. And no type of vessel was safe either, be it merchant or fishing or passenger transport. The only silver lining was that usually only the captains of the vessels were killed.

As T listened to these stories, he spun plans inside his head about how to defeat them. Unfortunately, no idea ever surfaced in which he would be successful alone.

This is, of course, the busiest time of year for the temple. There is so much to be done before the celebrations are upon us but as long as we work hard I believe everything shall be ready in time.

One of the men who tends to temple upkeep has offered to help me in fixing the roof at home. I have noticed some leaks recently. He is not even asking for any payment, beyond water and a meal or two.

Hopefully by aiding him I will be able to do this myself in the future.

T knelt and spoke a prayer of thanksgiving. A few minutes later, his sister joined him. Both of them had been on the verge of disaster, yet at the last moment had been saved.

Behind them, though they could not see it, a figure loomed in the shadows. A few moments later, D walked from the church, unable to disturb them again today.

It is wonderful to write again.

I have talked with a priest at one of the larger temples. He has agreed to allow me a trial period there as a labourer. If I show that I can learn the necessary skills and be useful, they will see about hiring me permanently. He said it was useful that I enquired before the Flametongue celebrations, as they customarily recruit help from outside the clergy.
